Description -
The Circles are made up of three ranks, the Outer Circle, the Middle Circle and the Inner Circle, the lowest being the
Outer Circle. Almost every unique demon (i.e. the demon of _____) is a member. Needless to say, because of the number of demons slain by Buffy, they don't like her.

History for Season 5 BTVS and season 2 Angel-
The Circles supported Glory, they planned to have Greth, the Demon of Blood, continuously refill the Key's blood so the portal would never close and every dimension would be merged. They already have control several of the dimensions but are unable to repair their own collapsing dimension.

Now that their plan regarding the Key has failed the Circles plan to use Wolfram & Hart and any other means possible to gain control of the Key and destroy Buffy permanently.

*Note: No age is going to be given simply because most of the members of the Circles have been around forever, and the others....well, they've been around a very long time.
