This is a complete timeline for all major events/characters relating to the Watchers' Council in the history of this game (not necessarily canon to the series). It includes everything from the creation of the Council until the start of the game (September 2001).

BC

Circa 7,000 BC - In order to try to find a solution to the demons and vampires that roamed the world a council of village elders in Africa created the first Slayer, Shagarra Durrall also known as Sineya. These men became the first in a long line of Watchers and the Council of Watchers was eventually established to look after the Slayer line they had created.

1530 BC - In Ancient Egypt, a Numbian Slayer under Watcher Meryt-Neith is killed. In life she had lived with the Pharaoh and been worshipped as a goddess.

519 BC - Future Slayer Thessily of Thessilonikki is born to a single mother as a slave in Athens, Greece. They are treated well by their fabric merchant master, Meltinias.

507 BC - Slayer Thessily is Chosen under Watcher Thoas. Thoas, posing as the local Hierophant, buys her, informs her of her destiny and immediately begins training her.

500 BC - Slayer Thessily battles the Horde at Delphi. She survives and is found unconscious by a local villager. She is taken to the oracle of the town and is told by her Watcher that she survived the death that the oracle had predicted.

490 BC - Slayer Thessily's home of Athens is threatened by the Persians and she has a vision of Persia hiding a vampiric army. She runs 300 miles in three days to protect a messenger, Philippides, as they seek assistance from the Spartan's werewolf army. They find no help and near Sparta Thessily is shot with a poison arrow. She returns to Athens and fights as long as she is able before dying in Thao's arms.

20s - 50s

23 - Future Slayer Caecilia Metella is born an only child to a wealthy family in Rome.

38 - Slayer Caecilia Metella is Chosen and begins her training under Watcher Aulus. She isn't close to her Watcher and is betrothed to Marcus Livius
Drusus. He is the eldest son in a well-respected family who is involved with the local vampires.

40 - Watcher Aulus is informed by his Slayer's father that Aurelia Orestes, a good friend of his Slayer, had been captured by vampires and that Livius had been beheaded. After many attempts to save her Watcher and friend, Caecilia was killed by Aurelia who gave her life for Caecilia only to end up killing her as a vampire. Vampire Aurelia went on to hunt Slayers and collect their skulls.

52 - In Britain during the Roman occupation, a Slayer with a background as a warrior Celt is possessed by the Night Terror (a being who attacks its victims in the dream realm) and during the possession is led into a nest of vampires were she is killed.

512 - A Magyar peasant Slayer is killed in Hungary.

562 - Slayer Garnhuld is given a Macguffins puzzle to solve by her Watcher. Centuries later Watcher Rupert Giles gives Buffy Summers the same puzzle, which she solves forty-six hours faster.

965 - Future Slayer Kishi Minomoto is born into a warrior clan in Sagami Province, Japan.

980 - Slayer Kishi Minomoto is called to serve the Great Lady Ankimon-in in Heian Kyo where she becomes known as Lady Shobu. She is Chosen under a man claiming to be her Watcher Bennin, but the man is actually Bennin's brother, Migoto, a vampire who had sacrificed the Slayer before her to the Dragon Spirit. Kishi is spared by the dragon and slays Migoto – the Great Lady comes forward to reveal that she was the Watcher of Kishi's predececor and she petitions the Council to become Kishi's Watcher as well.

995 - A future Slayer is born in Rome.

1000s

1011 - A Roman Slayer is staked by the vampire Belsarius.

1050 - A French Slayer, later to be known as Adja, discovers that a demon is being sent to the future to kill a Slayer who is a prophesied to save the world. Adja follows the demon Karfarnaum though a portal and sacrifices herself to stop the demon and save Slayer Buffy Summers.

1072 - Slayer Mary O'Brian is called in Ireland.

1073 - Slayer Mary O'Brian is killed by the vampire Lothos.

Slayer Lady Sarah is Chosen in Australia. She's high nobility and reluctant to accept her calling.

1100s

1123 - In Eastern Europe a Slayer is killed by the Kludden Tribe.

1147 - Two additional Slayers are taken down by the Kludden Tribe in Eastern Europe. The next Slayer to be called, not wishing to be made the fourth dead by the Tribe, ignores the Council's command to join the Order of the Sages along with her Watcher. Eventually giving in, she remains employed by the Order and negotiates a settlement treaty to stop the killing of the Slayers.

1200s

1250 - Dark of the Moon, a Native American girl living in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, is Chosen. Her Watcher is the Medicine Father who is part of the elders who are training her. She is told that she is a Slayer when the Hellmouth in California is opened, but as she doesn't even know what a vampire is, she is killed on her first day as a Slayer.

1279 - Xina Tigo Ton of Mongolia is Chosen under a Watcher named Marcus.

1300s

1300 - Future Slayer Eliane Ward is born.

1320 - Slayer Eliane Ward, now Eliane de Shaunde, is called. By this time she has already settled down and had two children, Gervais and Isabeau, with her Watcher Michel de Shaunde. The Council discovers this fact and Michel is taken away and replaced by a new Watcher, Gaston Roux. Eliane refuses the new Watcher and refuses to do anything until her husband is returned to her. The town is taken over by vampires and her own son Gervais is turned. Eliane slays Gervais and burns down the town, all of the vampires in it and herself along with them. Her surviving child is sent to live with her husband who is still alive and well in England.

1347 - A European barmaid is Chosen.

1350 - A European barmaid Slayer is killed by Lothos

1398 - "The Righteous Slayer" is Chosen in England under a Watcher who is a monk. She saves a town from the vampire St. Just and his minions. The entire town sees this and it causes a revolution among the young females of the village. The men of the village declare her a witch and she is burned at the stake. Her Watcher subsequently opens the town gates and allows vampire hordes to feed on the town's people.

1400s

1424 - Slayer Jeanne d'Arc, also known as St Joan of Arc of France, is killed. She helped stop Vampire Gilles de Rais, who killed as many as 800 children and was later burned at the stake. 

1431 - Future Slayer Chia is born in Peru.

1442 - Slayer Chia is Chosen under Watcher Gustah.

1448 - Potential Slayer Olu al-Kran of Persia along with Japanese Potential, Yoshama, fight to bring down the traitorous current Slayer, Chia.

1450 - An important book of Slayer prophecy, the Pagamon Codex, was ‘misplaced'.

1463 - In May Future Slayer Esperanza de la Vega is born in Seville, Spain. Her mother dies by September.

1479 - Slayer Esperanza de la Vega is Chosen under Watcher Wilmot Friumt.

1481 - After having secretly lived as a Jew during the Spanish Inquisition and being accused of being a witch by the monks who had overrun her town, Esperanza dies.

1500s

1505 - Slayer Gabriella of Venice, Italy is Chosen under a Watcher named Mario. While attacking vampire Lucrezia Borgia, she is captured. She is tortured in a hell dimension and fed on by the Borgia woman. Eventually Gabriella escapes with the aid of several other humans trapped there.

1509 - Future Slayer Cassia Marsilka is born in Greece.

1525 - Slayer Cassia Marsilka is Chosen under an incompetent Watcher. Soon after her entire family is killed by a group of vampires.

1527 - Slayer Cassia Marsilka is killed and turned by Cyrus the Gladiator, a 1,300 year old vampire. She went on to build her skills as a vampire and went under a variety of different names including Callia, Calida, Caterina, Catalina, Christine, Catia and Celina.

1539 - Slayer Maria Regina of France is sacrificed in a powerful ritual by the sorcerer Giacomo after being betrayed by the stable boy she loved.

1536 - Future Watcher Ishmael Daniels is born to a rural family in Wales.

1539 - Future Watcher Kurt Rendor is born.

1548 - Ishmael Daniels is moved to London to begin his training as a Watcher

1549 - Future Slayer Catrine Dyrnes is born in Larvik, Norway

1558 - After her parents learn of their daughter's possible destiny, future Slayer Catrine Dyrnes is sent to live in London with her Watcher Ishmael Daniels

1562 – Slayer Catrine Dyrnes is Chosen.

1568 - Slayer Catrine Dyrnes is killed when a parasitic demon possesses her. Watcher Ishmael Daniel retains no memory of what happened, but immediately resigns from the Council. Ishmael returns to Wales and studies as an herbalist, living a progressively more reclusive life as he has accumulating episodes of lost time.

1581 - After Watcher Ishmael Daniels attempts to kill himself, the demon possessing him takes full control of his body.

1587 - Ananias and Eleanor Dare (the daughter of a Watcher) receive word from an oracle that they should move away from England to raise their future Slayer in the new world.

August 18th: Future Slayer Virginia Dare, also later to be known as White Doe, is born in Roanoke Island.

A few months later Ananias and Eleanor are attacked by vampires and Eleanor burns a cross into Virginia's forehead. Her family is killed and she is raised by Croatians Native Americans who name her White Doe.

1589 - The journals of Watcher Ishmael Daniels are discovered. They are found to contain some of the most complete information on the usage of herbs and exorcism techniques in Council records.

1594 - Future Slayer Ildikó Gellért is born to gypsies in Hungary/Romania.

1599 - Slayer White Doe/Virginia Dare is Chosen under two Watchers Takes From Eagle (Honorary Watcher and surrogate father) and John White (Official Watcher and also her grandfather). She is actively involved in her tribes hunting parties.

1609 - Slayer White Doe/Virginia Dare is killed by Ceremonial Fox, an old shaman who is jealous over White Doe's affection for a young man named Seal of the Ocean. The shaman turns her into an actual white doe and she is shot by Seal of the Ocean during a hunting party. 

Slayer Ildikó Gellért is Chosen under Watcher Kurt Rendor.

1610 - Slayer Ildikó Gellért is killed in an Iron Maiden by Countess Elizabeth Bathory while trying to investigate the disappearance of many young girls from the castle.

Slayer Yuki Makumura of Japan is Chosen under a Watcher who commits Hari-Kari after a failed mission. Yuki is left alone and being obsessed with death, allows the Master to sire her. She becomes the Master's faithful servant and is erased from all Council records.

1629 - Slayer Shagrat al-Durr of Jerusalem is swallowed by the Gatherer in the New World while attempting to save a French knight.

1635 - Future Slayer Tanya is born.

1650 - Slayer Tanya is Chosen.

1652 - Slayer Tanya is turned.

1658 - Future Slayer Carissa Avenhaus of Holland is born.

1661 - Slayer Robin Whitby of England is working out of the Caribbean under Watcher William Henry Pratt. Posing as a male, she becomes the captain of the ship Neptune's Lady, which she uses to hunt vampires, invading ships and to occasionally steal gold from the Spanish. She loses her right forearm in a battle against the Kraken.

1669 - Future Slayer Samantha Kane is born in Mobile, Alabama.

1670 - Slayer Carissa Avenhaus is Chosen . Vampire Marcus Sectator confronts her on the streets of Amsterdam. He loses against her, being staked in the right side of the chest, and retreats to further hone his skills. Together he and Darla capture, torture and study a Watcher.

1673 - Slayer Carissa Avenhaus is killed when vampire Marcus Sectator returns to Holland to finish what he started. Marcus leaves Darla's side and switches his attention from Slayer to Watchers.

1684 - Samantha Kane is Chosen and trained under Watcher Robert Erwin.

1685 - March 3rd: Future Watcher Valic Mandrake is born to a wealthy family in Culmaly, Scotland.

1692 - Slayer Samantha, who spent a great deal of her tenure hunting witches, comes to Massachusetts for the Salem witch trails. She is killed later that year after a battle with the Master in the underworld.

Slayer Sarah Dinsdale is called in Salem, Massachusetts. She saves her town from a vampire named St. Just and then is burned at the stake as an accused witch.

1700s

1701 - Future Watcher Valic Mandrake is sent to the Vatican to be introduced to Roman Catholic priesthood.

1704 - Using his good reputation to gain access to the forbidden areas of the church library, Valic Mandrake begins learning the Dark Arts of the Magi.

1706 - Still avidly studying and becoming steadily transformed by black magicks, Valic finds a mentor in the form of a demon disguising himself as a priest.

1708 - Future Watcher Valic Mandrake's demon mentor convinces him to remove is elder brother, now Lord Valin Mandrake, from power. When he is refused by Valin, Valic places a powerful hex over his brother's family. When he returns to the Vatican he finds that he has been betrayed by his mentor. He is banished from the church and in response Valic uses his magicks to attack the Cardinal who is mortally injured. Valic realizes what he has done and begs for forgiveness. The curse is placed upon him and he throws himself into the study of white magicks.

By this time vampire Marcus Sectator has killed eighty Watchers. A Slayer in the States intervenes. Marcus kills her and her Watcher.

1715 - Slayer Winifred "Winny" Smith of Barbados is Chosen under Watcher Jawanda and serves in Virigina. She is soon killed by Lothos.

1725 - A Slayer who forges her own weapons is killed.

1725 - Slayer Erin Randall of Ireland was Chosen under Watcher Timothy Cassidy. She confronts and defeats Samhain.

1726 - Samhain returns the next Halloween after being defeated by Slayer Erin Randall and this time he defeats her.

1732 - Slayer Jing Po, a prostitute from Hong Kong, is Chosen.

1741 - Future Slayer Sarah Harding is born to an Italian prostitute in Italy. She later moves to England.

1750 - Slayer Jing Po is killed by Lothos.

1761 - Slayer Sarah Harding escapes a fight with the Master only to be killed by her Watcher while training. Her Watcher is subsequently fired from the Council.

1767 - Future Slayer Marie-Christine Du Lac of Paris, France is born. When her peasant parents die, she is taken in and raised by the royal family of France.

1773 - Slayer Teresa Fannigan has a run in with Angelus in Dublin, Ireland.

1783 - Slayer Ivy Corralo of Italy sacrifices herself to close an Italian Hellmouth.

1788 - Slayer Marie-Christine Du Lac is Chosen under Watcher Edmund de Voison.

1789 - During the French Revolution Slayer Marie-Christine Du Lac is fighting for the rich people of France while her Watcher is seeking the Vampire L'Hero. Edmund is captured by an angry mob fueled by L'Hero and Marie finds him as he is being beheaded by the town's people. His dying words to her are, "Do you see how miserably you have failed in your duty?" After his death she begins actively working as a Slayer, but is soon killed by Marcus Sectator under the false Watcher persona of Mark Hunter.

Slayer Claudine is Chosen in Paris France under Watcher Jean who is a member of the Bourgeoisie. Her Watcher/lover convinces her to kill an innocent aristocrat by telling her that the man is a vampire.

1799 - Vampire Marcus Sectator arrives in France to hunt Slayer Claudine. He succeeds in draining his fifth Slayer.

A Slayer in Hong Kong who is a prostitute is Chosen and killed

1801 - A Slayer from Ireland is killed in London, England.

1805 - Future Watcher Valic Mandrake returns to the Vatican and his focus is changed from studying magicks to fighting evil itself. He joins the Council of Watchers through the Roman Catholic Church.

1811 - Slayer Samantha is Chosen in London, England under Watcher Hayward H. Muzzlewit, father of future Watcher Charlton Muzzlewit who treats her poorly because she is from the lower class.

1812 - Slayer Samantha dies after having been a Slayer for ten months.

Elizabeth Weston of Sommerset, England is Chosen. She lives as a nobleman under the name of Edward Weston in order to disguise herself from the vampires she hunts.

1813 - Slayer Elizabeth/Edward Weston is killed.

Slayer Justine of England is Chosen under Watcher Claire Sliver.

1815 - Vampire Marcus Sectator leaves France.

1817 - January 6th: Slayer Justine is wounded in battle. While carrying for her Slayer Watcher Claire Silver learns that some of her subject of mythological study are real.

February 28th: Slayer Justine finally dies as the result of her injuries.

1819 - Future Slayer Ariana is born in England.

1820 - Slayer Naayeeneizghani ‘Monster Killer', a Native American girl in California, slays the vampire who killed her Watcher.

1828 - Catherine Hogarth is born in the poor end of East London.

1834 - In London Nefaria meets the current Slayer Ariana, to which her father is the Watcher.

1838 - The Slayer Ariana is killed several days before her 19th birthday.

1839 - Future Slayer Xiaogin is born in Shanghai, China.

1840 - Slayer Marie Siegner, a courtesan, is Chosen in south France.

Slayer Adja arrives from a portal in Sunnydale, California on the trail of her demon and follows it into another portal.

1842 - Slayer Marie Siegner moves to London where she is killed.

Slayer Catherine Hogarth is Chosen under Watcher Charlton Muzzlewit who is extremely sexist.

1843 - Charlton Muzzlewit is visited by the spirits of three Slayers – including Marie Siegne and Carissa Avenhaus. Catherine Hogarth is killed and a girl in Boston is Chosen. The Boston Slayer will go on to stop a series of murders taking place in the Boston shipyards.

1845 - A Slayer in Boston is killed and a new one is Chosen in California.

1846 - Future Slayer Pauline Francia Barnard also known as Frankie Massey is born in Atlanta, Georgia.

1849 - Future Slayer Lucy Hanover is born in Virginia.

1850 - A Californian Slayer is killed after slaying the vampire that killed her Watcher.

1852 - Slayer Margaret 'Maggie' Madden is Chosen in Dublin, Ireland under Watcher Sean Connelly. Though they never become romantically involved, Sean Connelly falls in love with Maggie.

1856 - Slayer Margaret Madden is killed. While still heavily mourning her death, her Watcher, Sean Connelly, goes on to also be a Watcher to Xiaoqin, a young thief who poses as a man and is Chosen in China.

1857 - Slayer Angela Martignetti is Chosen in Venice, Italy under Watcher Peter Toscano who becomes her lover after his previous involvement, the Slayer's sister, is killed by the vampire Veronique. He is subsequently killed by the Council and she is assigned a new Watcher, Jason Cromwell.

1858 - Future Slayer Catherine Callan is born in Ulster, Ireland to an abusive father.

1862 - Slayer Angela Martignetti traps the essence of the immortal vampire Veronique on a deserted island.

Slayer Pauline Francia Barnard also known as Frankie Massey is Chosen under Watcher Reed.

1864 - Slayer Pauline Francia Barnard stakes her Watcher who was turned. She is assigned a new Watcher, Edward Lander, who never finds her. She enrolls in the army during the Civil War under as a male under the name Frankie Massey. Her unofficial Watcher is Major General Tecumseh Sherman who helps her to continue to slay vampires

Lucy Hanover is Chosen. She disappears with her lover Erl King Hern the Hunter for three weeks during the Wild Hunt.

1866 - Slayer Lucy Hanover investigates the disappearance of Civil War widows. She is killed by the Wanderer of Water and her spirit remains on Ghost Roads helping lost souls between life and death and Slayers in battle.

1868 - Slayer Estellos Praticca is Chosen in Chile under Watcher Jonathan Hastings.

1871 - Future Slayer Mollie Prater is born in Kentucky to Lila and her father who she was very close to.

1873 - In autumn Slayer Catherine Callan is Chosen under Watcher Thomas Spelling and moves to England where she encounters a great deal of prejudice from the predominantly English Council.

1876 - Slayer Catherine Callan survives her Cruciamentum on her home farm.

1877 - Future Slayer Florence Gilbert is born.

1878 -Slayer Princess Amirah is Chosen under Edward Smith who is dismissed and replaced by Victoria ‘Ria' Hastings.

1886 - Future Slayer Mollie Prater is engaged to Harley Meade. A week before the wedding she realizes something isn't right. On the day of her baptism, the townspeople were attacked by a demon and Mollie instinctively fought it off. Several days later at her wedding the same demon kills some of the wedding attendees and Mollie slays it with a scythe. Her friends and family are frightened of her but she is approached by her Watcher, Ethan Bentley. 

In London England, Slayer Elizabeth, under Watcher Sir James, is Chosen.

1888 - Slayer Elizabeth aligns herself with vampires Spike and Drusilla in an attempt to stop Jack the Ripper. Elizabeth is killed by Jack the Ripper.

1891 - Slayer Naayee Neizghani is Chosen on the Californian Hellmouth. She's a Native American who is hunted by the vampire To after To kills her Watcher. After several battles she is stabbed in the chest while on her horse. Her town of Naayee dies and is later bought by Richard Wilkins and later named Sunnydale.

A blacksmith in the Oklahoma Territories is Chosen. During her time as a Slayer she puts an end to a series of vicious attacks that had killed over seventeen homesteaders.

1893 - The Blacksmith Slayer is killed.

Slayer Florence Gilbert is Chosen.

August: Future Slayer Millicent "Millie" Rose Gresham is born in Duluth, Minnesota

Future Watcher and grandmother to Rupert Giles, Edna Fairweather, is born in England.

1897 - Slayer Florence Gilbert arrives in Virginia City, WY to put an end to a string of murders. She is killed.

Slayer Grace of Yorkshire Mores, England is Chosen and soon after killed by Aurelia - the same vampire who had killed Slayer Caecilia Metella in 40 AD. Aurelia proceeds to drink Grace's blood from goblets.

In London, England Slayer Angelique Hawthorne is Chosen under Watcher Peter Van Helsing, cousin to Professor Abraham Van Helsing. She fights Dracula with her friends, lover Gordon Mycroft, a street kid named Patch and ex nun named Molly Carrington who is later killed – an incidence that caused Angelique to abandon her friends in order to keep them safe.

1900 - June 18th: In Beijing, China during the Boxer rebellion, Slayer Xin Rong is killed by the vampire Spike.

1901 - June 30th: Future Slayer Dorothy "Dot" Singers is born in Chicago.

1903 - A Slayer commits suicide after her Watcher, Creighton Faust is turned.

Future Watcher Edna Fairweather is training to become a Watcher and manages to outwit a pair of old vampires that had pulled one over on her teachers. She falls in love with Lawrence, a baker's boy who works at his family's bakery, Giles's Bakery.

1904 - Slayer turned vampire, Cassia Marsilka, wins in a battle against the vampire Spike.

1906 - Future Slayer Britta Kessler Lichtermann is born in Munich, Germany and eventually comes to have three younger brothers and a younger sister.

1910 - Future Slayer Su-Li Kim is born in Korea.

1911 - Slayer Millicent "Millie" Rose Gresham also known as Fatima Araby (her show name) is Chosen under Watcher Ambrose Richmond. On her eighteenth birthday she is set up in a funhouse at the sideshow she works at with her Watcher. The vampire Blasko (a former Watcher) interferes and Ambrose is killed along with the reviewing Council members and the vampire Millicent was supposed to face. In the end Millicent outsmarts Blasko.

1912 - Slayer Arabelle Gish of Brooklyn, New York poses as a student nurse at the Brooklyn Boarding House and puts an end to a string of twenty three deaths at that location.

1915 - Future Watcher and seer Yanna Narvik is born.

A Future Slayer is born in the United States.

1916 - A Slayer under Watcher Alfred Gantry is called.

1917 - The Slayer Chosen under Watcher Alfred Gantry is killed.

Slayer Dorothy "Dot" Singers is Chosen under Watcher Reginald V. Hill who leaves his post to fight during WWI. Dot receives a temporary Watcher that she despises.

1919 - After the war, Watcher Reginald returns to his charge, Slayer Dorothy Singers, but he didn't come back from the war well and on the day of Dot's Cruciamentum he suffers a severe panic attack. Dot saves him and continues to care for him as he falls deeper into his delusions.

Future Watcher Aleksei Borislav is born the son of two Watchers in the U.S.S.R.

1920s

1921 - Future Watcher and father to Rupert Giles, Peter Giles, is born in England to Lawrence and Watcher Edna Giles.

1922 - In New York City, New York, Slayer Ardita O'Reilly is a dancer in a club owned by her Watcher, Mr. Whiskers.

1923 - Potential Slayer Eleanor Boundreau is born in London, England. She will later move to Lafayette, Louisiana and train under Watcher Bertram Martin.

August 17: Future Slayer Sophie Carstensen is born in Copenhagen Denmark

Despite the help of her friends, Slayer Ardita O'Reilly dies.

November 8th: Slayer Britta Kessler Lichtermann is called under the Watcher Herr Friedrich and betrayed by him within a day. She is turned by the vampire Herr Sahr and placed into her family's mausoleum where Herr Friedrich goes to make sure that she doesn't rise. He is locked in by Herr Sahr and fights his now vampiric Slayer.

Future Watcher Aleksei Borislav's family is living in London and Aleksei is already showing interest in the Council's library.

A flapper in Chicago, Illinois is Chosen. During her time as a Slayer she stops a case of ‘serial murders' in which over forty-one people were killed.

1934 - December 16th: Future Slayer Zoe Kuryakin, a first generation Russian Jew, is born in New York City, New York.

1935 - Slayer Su-Li Kim is killed.

A Slayer is Chosen somewhere in the United States.

1937 - Slayer Rachael O' Connor, also known as Major Deitrich, is Chosen in New York. Rachael is a member of an undercover anti-Nazi organization (OSS). She lures vampires by pretending to be blind and then stakes them with a pencil. She dies the same year that she is called.

Slayer Anni Sonnenblume of Nuremberg, Germany is Chosen under a wheelchair bound male Watcher. Anni is a part of Hitler's Youth who goes on to fight both Nazis and demons.

1939 - Future Slayer Asha Sayre is born in Port Buck, Florida.

Future Council school headmaster and uncle to Jude Aidan Fletcher, Ardal O'Neil, is born in Ireland.

1940 - In a deal with the demon Skrymir, vampires Spike and Drusilla break into the Council's headquarters and steal the list of all the Potential Slayers and their locations.

May 22nd: Potential Slayer Kate Hutchins and her Watcher are killed by Spike and Drusilla in Liverpool England.

June 2nd: Potential Slayer Collette Boisvert and her Watcher Monsieur Arno are killed by Spike and Drusilla in Nice, France. Monsieur Arno is turned.

June 12th: Spike and Drusilla hang Alessandra Cavallaro on the doors of St. Mark's Cathedral by railroad spikes through her hands and feet.

June 16th: Potential Slayer Marya Badjek of Poland is killed by Spike and Drusilla. Her Watcher, Jozeff Strakus, is also beaten by the vampires, but survives.

June 22nd: A Potential Slayer from Benghazi, Libya is drained by Spike and Drusilla. Her Egyptian Watcher is staked naked to the ground in the dessert and left to die.

July 6th: The parents of Italian American Potential Slayer, Rita Gnecco, are killed by Spike and Drusilla in Boston, Massachusetts. The vampires then turn her Watcher Arthur Cabot who soon hunts down and kills Rita.

August 15th: Potential Slayer Valerie Vourtas and her Watcher Donald Morgan are killed in Mykonoa, Greece by Spike and Drusilla.

Watcher Edgar Somers, mentor and love interest of Watcher and seer Yanna Narvik, is killed by Spike outside of Yanna's house. Spike lets Yanna live and she and her Slayer Sophie vow to stop Spike and Drusilla.

September 3rd: Potential Slayer Ilse Skovgaard, a ballet dancer in Copenhagen, is killed by Spike and Drusilla.

Potential Slayers Beatrice Lizotte Nova Scotia and an unknown girl from Hong Kong are also killed by Spike and Drusilla.

Watcher and seer Yanna Narvik is killed after being tortured and driven insane by her visions of Spike.

September 7th: Spike and Drusilla breach the security of Council Headquarters during a crippling German air strikes to the complex.

Slayer Sophie Carstensen is killed by Spike.

Isabel Cortes from Barcelona, Spain is Chosen and within four minutes killed at the hands of the demon Srymir.

Eleanor Boundreau of LaFayette, Louisiana is Chosen under Watcher Betram Martin. Along with Sophie's friend Potential Ariana de la Croix of Geneva, Switzerland the girls defeat Skrymir.

Eleanor's Watcher steps down and asks Council director Watcher Marie-Christine Fontaine (daughter of Jacques Fontaine) to be the Slayer's Watcher. Potential Ariana de la Croix who was training under Watcher Charles Rochemont is asked to become a Watcher under Watcher trainee John Travers, father of Quentin Travers .

November 11th: Aleksei Borislav is assigned a Potential in his home country. He relocates back to the U.S.S.R. to train her.

1941 - While the Council is still rebuilding vampires Drusilla, Kurt and Spike make another attempt on it and the Potentials, which by the end of the year is prevented by Angel under the guise of Angelus.

1942 - Asha Sayre's father is killed by the KKK. Asha is raised by her Watcher, a Cajun woman named Laurent.

1943 - Slayer Elizabeth “Betty” Winters is Chosen under Watcher and bookstore owner, Marcus Redmond. Elizabeth works as a private investigator in a business she inherited from her husband, Robert Winters after he died oversees in the war. Elizabeth is killed by an ancient vampire named Hunyadi within the year.

1945 - April 24th: Watcher Aleksei Borislav is turned and his Potential is killed by a vampire group sent after them by Stalin.

1946 - Adrian O'Neil , younger sister to future Council school headmaster Ardal and future mother of Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher, is born in Ireland.

1948 - Uther Wood is born in Cornwall, England. At his birth he is taken from his hypnotized parents by a cult that believes him to be the reincarnation of Uther Pendragon. After having been told that there was a miscarriage, Uther's mother kills herself and his father disappears.

Miles Fletcher, future father of Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher, is born to Aidan and Marie Fletcher in Ireland.

1949 - February 5th: Ethan Rayne is born in an England estate to Dion and Annabelle Rayne. Annabelle becomes afflicted with severe dementia within the year. Dion leaves the country and Ethan is left to be raised by a nanny.

December 20th: Future Slayer Zoe Kuryakin's parents are killed.

1951 - Deirdre Page is born in England to wealthy and controlling parents.

Philip Henry is born in England as an only child to well off parents.

October 21st: Future Slayer Beryl MacKenzie is born in Nova Scotia, Canada.

1952 - Potential Slayer Beryl MacKenzie begins her training. Terrified of dying, she abandons her training and moves to a hippy community called Moonstone.

Randal Lomas is born in England to Will and Patricia Lomas.

December 13th: Slayer Zoe Kuryakin is killed in Greenwich Village, New York when her Watcher sabotages her Cruciamentum.

1953 - Slayer Asha Sayre is Chosen.

1954 - February 20th: Rupert Giles is born in England to Watcher Peter and Andrea Giles.

Will Lomas, Randal Lomas's father, dies. Spiritualist Patricia Lomas goes on to raise her son alone.

1955 - Fiona Connelly is born in County Meath, Ireland to Seamus (part demon) and Kathleen Connelly

Ethan Rayne sneaks into his mother's chamber and begins his obsession of observing her ravings.

July 24th: Future Slayer Nikki Wood is born in Harlem, New York.

1956 - Slayer Asha Sayre and her Watcher Laurent sacrifice themselves in a church explosion in order to destroy a KKK group, made up predominantly of vampires that had been controlling the town by taking up key positions in the community.

1959 - Ethan Rayne is by now regularly taking mystical texts from his father's library to study the dark arts. He plays tricks on the house's caretakers and helps his deranged mother to kill herself. Within a couple of weeks of Annabelle's death Dion returns to England and begins to brutally abuse his young son.

1960 - Slayer Mariko of Japan is Chosen under the Watcher Kobo, an acquaintance of Watcher Edna Giles.

Amelia Watson is born in Cleveland, Ohio.

Uther summons hellhounds to provide him an escape from the cult that raised him. He finds his way to London where he is discovered by Quentin Travers and placed in an orphanage.

1961 - Slayer turned vampire Cassia Marsilka fights and wins against Angel.

Ethan Rayne unintentionally kills his father in defense of his own life. He leaves the family estate for the first time and is whisked off to a local hospital by a horrified neighbor. After his eventual recovery, he's placed into an orphanage and promptly forgotten.

1962 - Future Watcher Michael Wellington is born in England to a mother who is a Watcher.

1964 - Watcher Peter Giles informs his son of his destiny to become a Watcher and the boy is appalled at the idea.

August 18th: Future Watcher Charles René Baxter is born in upstate New York to Thomas and Alessa Baxter.

1965 - The orphanage in which Uther Wood and Ethan Rayne both had been living in is burnt to the ground. The cause is classified as demonic and a group of Potentials soon after find and kill a fire-throwing demon.

Future Slayer Peri Bohr is born in Nebraska.

1966 - By this time Deidre Page and her friends are regularly playing with magick behind her oblivious parents' backs while easily keeping up the image of being the perfect little angel.

1967 - Having graduated from secondary school and with a decent talent in the dark arts, Ethan Rayne moves to the streets. He slowly makes his way towards London, becoming drawn into many mischievous actives along the way.

1968 - February 25th: Wesley Wyndam-Pryce is born in England to Watcher Roger and Margaret Wyndam-Pryce.

Having graduated from high school, Thomas Sutcliff sets out to see the world. He makes it as far as Alabama before his cash runs out and settles in Birmingham playing in bands and working odd jobs until he saves enough pennies to pay passage on a freighter to England.

1969 - Future Watcher Gabriel Russel is born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Patricia Lomas dies of cancer. Randal Lomas, rejects the notion of good in the world and turns to the dark arts.

Slayer Beryl MacKenzie is Chosen just before her eighteenth birthday. Her Watcher uses the Cruciamentum to show her what being a Slayer means.

August 12th: Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher is born in Belfast, Ireland to Miles and Teresa Fletcher during the deployment of British troops to attempt to quell the escalating violence in the region.

Deidre Page begins attending Oxford.

Philip Henry looks for trouble in London while his parents believe that he's attending Oxford.

October 7th: Slayer Beryl MacKenzie dies.

Slayer Myenka Krustov of Lublin, Poland is called under the Watcher James "Jimmy" O'Hare, but has little interest in using her powers for slaying.

While on the run Ethan Rayne finds himself in central London where he bums a place to stay with a mystically inclined group of delinquents including Philip Henry and Thomas Sutcliff.

Future Watcher Rupert Giles begins attending Oxford and quickly comes to switch his studies to the occult.

Future Watcher Tamara Franklin is born in Halifax, Canada.

1971 - Future Slayer Nikki Wood's mother dies.

Future Watcher Tammy Marie Stevenson, later to be Tammy Fletcher, is born in Sacramento, California.

1972 - Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's younger brother Breck Fletcher is born in Belfast, Ireland and their father increases his involvement in the organization as the IRA ceasefire ends.

1973 - Future Watcher Ava Lovare is born in the bayous of Louisiana

Fiona Connely moves to London and starts working at a local magick shop with a friend. She begins the process of applying to Oxford at which point she meets future Watcher Rupert Giles.

Deidre Page receives her undergraduate degree from Oxford, but goes on to complete her masters, not because of her parents' wishes but because she's fallen for a younger boy in his third year at Oxford - future Watcher Rupert Giles

October 27th: Robin M. Wood is born to Slayer Nikki Wood.

Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's second youngest brother, Casey Fletcher, is born in Belfast, Ireland while their father's primary focus is on securing more weaponry for the fighting after a large arms shipment was seized at the coast.

1974 - Amelia Watson moves to London with her father who was transferred to be a professor at Oxford.

April 1st: Future Watcher George Lucas Scott is born to a middle class family in a Pennsylvania suburb. His father is a professor of history at the university and his mother is a sixth grade English teacher. He eventually comes to have two brothers and five sisters.

May: Rupert Giles drops out of Oxford with Deirdre Page and Uther Wood. They move on to the London streets. Rupert takes the name Ripper and meets up with Ethan Rayne, Phillip Henry, Randal Lomas and Thomas Sutcliff.

Ethan and Ripper shoplift at Fiona's magick shop and are finally formerly introduced. Ripper invites Fiona to join a group ritual, but she declines.

Amelia Watson soon joins with Ripper and Ethan and the boys meet Watcher Valic Mandrake for the first time.

Future Watcher Michael Wellington witnesses the death of his mother's Potential who he had become very close to. He is rescued by Ripper and joins the group for a short time until t he demon tribe seeks retaliation. Wellington survives, his mother does not. He soon leaves the group and returns to the Council.

1975 - The mother of future Watcher Tamara Franklin dies. She is sent to London to live with her father who is a Watcher. She comes to befriend future Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.

Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's third youngest bother, Donnell Fletcher, is born in Belfast, Ireland.

Uther leaves the Ripper group. Ethan and Ripper come upon the demon Eyghon. Ripper and the rest kill Randal after he is consumed by Eyghon. The group disbands and Ripper returns to the Council.

October 14th: Future Watcher Sarah Ravencroft is born to an American father with a long history in the Council and Russian immigrant mother.

1976 - Future Watcher Rupert Giles returns to Oxford to complete his remaining credits. He and Fiona Connelly end up in the same class and she helps him to get his life back together.

Slayer Adja arrives from a portal in Sunnydale, California on the trail of her demon and follows it into another portal.

Rose picks up the trail of Angelus in New York, encounters Nikki Wood and allies herself with the Slayer. By this time Nikki's boyfriend, Li, who had been head of the police taskforce, has been killed by vampires.

Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's four year old brother, Breck, is killed when he is separated from Jude during a riot.

1977 - Having graduated from Oxford, Rupert Giles is receiving training at the Watchers' Council under Archibald "Archie" Lassiter. With additional training from Valic Mandrake. Fiona Connely stays in contacted long enough for him settle in there then returns to Ireland to finish off her schooling at a private medical college.

Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's youngest brother, Leary Fletcher, is born in Belfast, Ireland.

Future Watcher Kestrel Russell is born in England to a family heavily involved with the Council.

Spike kills his third Slayer, Nikki Wood, claiming his token duster from her. Nikki's Watcher, Bernard Crowley raises Robin. Rose tracks Spike and they battle on a train in Baltimore. Both escape.

Future Watcher Samantha Riley Moore is born in New York.

Slayer Sophie of Quebec, Canada is Chosen under Watcher Peter.

1978 - Future Slayer India Marie Cohen is born in North Carolina. Her father is an officer for the US Army and her mother a famous actress from the Philippians. Due to her father's job, her family moved around the world (including Japan and Spain) before eventually settling in San Diego, California.

1980 - Slayer Sophie is killed.

Watcher Rupert Giles begins fighting demons regularly while serving as a curator for the British Museum.

Future Watcher Ava Lovare's parents are killed by vampires. From that point on she is raised by her grandmother, a voodoo high priestess.

1981 - January 18th: Future Slayer Buffy Anne Summers is born in Los Angeles to Joyce and Hank Summers.

During a street fight, future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher pulls a gun given to him by his father the night before and loses another brother when Casey Fletcher is struck by the return fire from British troops.

Future Slayer Kendra Young is born in Cane Town Plantation, Jamaica. While she is still a baby, her parents give her to her Watcher, Sam Zabuto, for training.

1982 - Watcher Michael Wellington completes his training and begins actively working, eventually being recruited into Special Ops.

Potential Slayer Ailis O'Bannen is born in Salem, Massachusetts to a large Irish family.

December 14th: Future Slayer, Faith Lehane, is born in Boston, Massachusetts.

1983 - Future Slayer Alasen Elisabeth Montgomery is born.

Slayer Peri Bohr moves to Keller, Nebraska and is Chosen under Watcher Mr. McClellan. Her Cruciamentum was in the local mall against a recently turned vampire and former friend, Julie.

Future Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher's father is confronted by British officers about a bombing campaign in London that is traced back to him – he resists and is killed. Jude decides to take up the cause in his father's place. His horrified mother gets her brother, Headmaster Ardal O'Neil, to pull strings to get Jude into a Watcher sponsored school in London. Jude refuses to go and puts up a serious fight before being forcibly relocated to England.

Potential Slayer Madeline LeBrook is born to a wealthy family in the Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles, California.

Fiona Connely finishes up her schooling with a PhD. During that time she became incredibly close with another young woman. The other woman's husband becomes jealous and Fiona decides to move to County Wicklow.

July 8th: Potential Slayer Kennedy is born in New York.

Potential Slayer Lysi Armstrong is born into poverty outside of Las Vegas to a drug abusing prostitute and one of her clients.

1984 - Slayer Peri Bohr is killed.

Star of Scotland is Chosen. She is a rock groupie based out of Barcelona, Spain under a Watcher named Andrew.

Potential Slayer Missy James is born in Maine.

Potential Slayer Alliya Knowles is born.

Potential Slayer Chloe Morgan is born in Chicago.

Potential Slayer Sydney Gallows, half sister to Slayer Faith Lehane, is born in England.

Potential Slayer Chao-Ann is born in a Chinese village and soon after is sent to be raised by her Watcher.

Potential Slayer Madison Chandler is born to two prominent southerners, Eugenia and Beau Chandler. By nine months old she wins her first beauty pageant.

Future Watcher Gabriel Russel's parents are killed by vampires. The vampires attempt to turn Gabe, but he survives. He is sent to London to live with his uncle and shortly thereafter recruited by the Council. Gabe is transferred from regular school to the Watcher's Academy where he befriends Future Watcher Jude Fletcher. Gabriel Russell will go on to attend Oxford – Jude Fletcher remains with the Council for Special Ops training.

Potential Slayer Penny Harjo is born in Slick, Oklahoma

Potential Kala Amarai is born during a great outback bushfire. She is eventually discovered by a traveling Watcher on a trip to Alice Springs and leaves her tribe to be trained.

1985 - Potential Slayer Mischa Povlevsky is born in Detroit, Michigan.

Potential Slayer Eve is born in Georgia.

Potential Slayer Violet “Vi” Felicity Meyers is born in Texas.

Potential Slayer Artemis Southern is born in London, the daughter of two archeologists.

Potential Ellen Paul is born in London where she is raised among Watchers.

1986 - Potential Slayer Rona is born.

A Slayer is Chosen in Australia.

Potential Slayer Annabelle is born.

Fiona Connely marries.

Future Watcher Charles Baxter's parents are killed when a demon they are exorcising physically manifests. Charles and his parents are made scapegoats of to cover for the Church and Charles walks away from it all, deciding to ‘retire' in Australia.

1987 - Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher receives his first field assignment.

1988 - Potential Slayer Chloe Romero is born.

1989 - Having completed her training to be a Watcher, Tamara Franklin instead leaves London for New York.

Chloe Morgan's parents are killed in an ‘accidental' house fire. Chloe is placed in an orphanage.

1990 - Fiona Connely discovers that her husband is in love with another woman and signs the divorce papers. She moves back to her original home.

1991 - After traveling around America for three years, Tamara Franklin settles down to study at a university in New York.

Future Watcher Ava Lovare is recruited by the Council.

With the fall of the Soviet Union, Aleksei Borislav flees the crumbling U.S.S.R. and from the States began networking with the growing Russian Mafia, conspiring to turn America into a communist empire.

Future Watcher Samantha Riley Moore's mother sends her to live in England where she begins training with the Watcher's Council.

1992 - A Slayer is called in Tijuana, Mexico.

Living in Nuremberg, Germany, future Watcher Sarah Ravencroft begins working in Council record keepings at their German branch and is soon recruited for a covert mission posing as a Potential Slayer after which the Council takes her for training as Special Ops.

Future Watcher George Lucas Scott begins studying at the Watcher Academy in London.

1993 - June 23rd: A Slayer from Mexico is killed by a congara demon.

A Potential is killed in a car accident before she can become the Slayer.

India Marie Cohen is Chosen under Watcher Christopher "Kit" Bothwell.

The Council comes to realize that Ellen Paul is a Potential Slayer and immediately begin her training.

1994 - After eight years in an orphanage Chloe Morgan is visited by her older brother Sam who reveals that he's spent many of the previous years fighting demons. Chloe leaves the orphanage and joins him in that fight.

Future Watcher Charles Rene Baxter frees Former Watcher Ishmael Daniel from 413 years of possession. Ishmael finds his body nearly useless but retains abilities from the demon.

1995 - Tamara stops writing her friend Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce when she is approached by Wolfram & Hart.

Now the chief medical examiner of Wicklow, Fiona Connely has a terrible fight with her mother and receives a job offer from Sunnydale, California. She moves to Sunnydale and accepts the job as chief medical examiner there.

1996 - By this time India Marie Cohen and her Watcher Christopher Bothwell are well into a romantic relationship that they are keeping secret from the Council.

June 29th: A mummy, the Wandered of Water, tries to steal India's essence. She sacrifices herself to save her Watcher. While she survives the incident she falls into a deep depression and dies within the year.

Buffy Summers is called under the Watcher Merrick Jamison-Smythe, who is killed shortly after.

When the Council comes to verify reports of the successful exorcism of Watcher Ishmael Daniels they invite Charles Baxter to join the Council and Ishmael is reinstated as a Watcher responsible for Charles's training.

Future Watcher George Lucas Scott begins working as a teacher assistant for local Watchers training Potentials.

Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher meets his future wife Tammy for the first time when Tammy is invited by the Council to do research on a project that Jude acquired.

June 2nd: Kendra Young is Chosen under Watcher Sam Zabuto when the current Slayer, Buffy Summers, momentarily dies by drowning.

The parents of Potential Slayer Missy James are killed in a house fire. Missy is discovered by the Council and she trains under Watcher Helaina Myles

October: Having followed Watcher Rupert Giles to the States, the now successful Chaos sorcerer Ethan Rayne opens Ethan's Costume Shoppe in Sunnydale and literally turns the majority of the town's trick-or-treaters into their costumes.

November: Thomas Sutcliff and Diedre Page are killed and possessed by Eyghon. Philip Henry makes it to Sunnydale in an effort to warn Watcher Rupert Giles, but is killed by Eyghon in Deidre's body. Eyghon is stopped for good and Ethan is approached by the Circle of Nine. Uther receives confirmation of the death of many of his old friends. He assumes Giles and Ethan to be among those deaths.

Slayer turned vampire, Yuki Makumura, travels to California and attempts to kill the current Slayer, Buffy Summers. Yuki, is killed by Buffy after attempting a ritual to resurrect the Master.

1998 - March 16th: Vampire Alexandria was unintentionally ensouled via a Watcher's talisman.

Watcher Jude Aidan Fletcher marries future Watcher Tammy Marie Fletcher.

May 12th: Slayer Kendra Young is killed by Drusilla. Slayer Alasen Elisabeth Montgomery and several others are Chosen via Council experiments before Slayer Faith Lehane is Chosen under Watcher Rosa who is later killed by Kakistos.

The parents of Potential Ailis O'Bannen are approached by the Council. Ailis begins training under a female Watcher.

Potential Slayer Madiosn Chandler's family moves to California to qualify their daughter for the Miss California pageant. Potential Slayer Lysi Armstrong burns down her mothers trailer and moves onto the streets where she meets Watcher Allistair Franklin Caldwell II. With him she fights demons and eventually meets Potential Slayer Madison Chandler in New Mexico. While Allistair soon dies of a heart attack during a training session, Lysi and Madison become inseparably close and decide to find themselves a new Watcher.

October 13th: Slayer Faith Lehane arrives in Sunnydale and Watcher Rupert Giles begins serving as her Watcher.

November 17th: Former Watcher Gwendolyn Post arrives in Sunnydale claiming to be Faith's new Watcher.

1999 - January 19th: Watcher Rupert Giles is fired from the Council.

February 9th: Watcher Wesley Wyndam-Pryce arrives in Sunnydale to take over as Watcher for both Slayer Buffy Summers and Slayer Faith Lehane.

Watcher Gabriel Russel's uncle who had served as his father, dies.

India Cohen and Kendra are recruited by spirit guide Lucy Hanover in order to help the current Slayers, Buffy Summers and Faith Lehane, stop the Gatherer.

2000 - January: Now partially initiated into the Circle of Nine, Ethan Rayne resurfaces in Sunnydale. His plan to gain access to the Hellmouth via turning Giles into a Fyarl demon ends in failure and he is taken into military custody.

April: After several mystical attempts to escape the Nevada detention center, the Initiative transfers Ethan Rayne to an active testing facility under designation Hostile 420.

Slayer Buffy Summers slays Slayer turned vampire Cassia Marsilka.

September 26th: Rupert Giles agrees to unofficially restart training of Buffy Summers.

Watcher George Lucas Scott begins working full time as a Watcher.

2001 - January 23rd: Rupert Giles is reinstated as an active member for the Council and official Watcher to Slayer Buffy Summers.

May 22nd: Slayer Buffy Summers sacrifices herself to close a portal. Watcher Rupert Giles kills Ben to prevent Glory's return. No new Slayer is Chosen.

June 5th: Watcher Rupert Giles is fired from the Council and begins a campaign against their bureaucracy while continuing to fight evil on the Hellmouth without the aid of a Slayer.

August 28th: Slayer Buffy Summers is resurrected by her sister Dawn and the vampire Spike.
