Name - Ezra Yahya
Age - 22
Race - Human/Healer

Appearance -
Very slender build, 5’11” and on the lanky side. Slightly curly black hair, dark eyes and an olive skin tone. Occasionally wears glasses, but more often wears contacts. Tends to dress in clean-cut, comfortable, non-descript clothing.

Personality -
The most notable point about his personality is just how mellow he is. He is very laid back, not a procrastinator, but never in a rush either. He excels at going with the flow, is naturally curious and extremely chatty. He loves to talk to anyone and everyone, to hear their stories and share some of his. All in all he’s a very friendly and entirely too trusting for his own good.

Ability -
Standard human male strength. Stronger aerobic than weight endurance. Played soccer before moving to Los Angeles and now instead runs every morning. Speaks English, Hebrew, some Arabic and Yiddish. Possesses the power to temporarily cleanse the spirit of another although that ability has remained predominantly latent, as he has written most of it off to coincidence and the fact that he’s a good listener.

Due to a spell done within his coven many lifetimes ago, his soul perpetually reincarnates into its next life with abilities and memories intact. Overtime the effects of the spell have lessened. Like his soul healing abilities, his memories of the past have been primarily relegated to intensely vivid dreams that he has attributed to an overly active imagination, but which he has nevertheless kept careful note of.

History -
Ezra was born in Ma'alot-Tarshiha, Israel where he lived until age seven at which point he and his parents among others were caught in an explosion. While Ezra survived the rouge suicide bombing, his father died at the site and his mother was lost to her injuries within the next several days following the attack.

Maya, his aunt on his mother’s side, received news of the events from family and immediately retuned from the States with her American husband. Wanting to give Ezra a fresh start, they brought him back with them where they raised him in a small town in Kansas. He was raised as an only child and with the full attention of his new parents, quickly adapted to his new life on the family farm.

He did well in school, not favoring any particular academic subject over the other. His real subject of interest lied in drama. It was clear from early on that he was an extremely creative child as he told endless stories of far away places and things that his adopted parents assumed that he had learned it school. Neither they nor Ezra had any way to know that these fanciful stories were actually memories from the lives that his soul had previously led. At times his stories were dark, even gruesome in their nature. Since those raising him had gone out of their way to provide him with an upbringing that protected him from such things, they could only assume that the detailed tales of death went back to his having watched his parents die.

As he went through school he stayed active in acting and developed an increasing interest in movies. The local theater had only one screen, but he would eagerly drag his friends to go see whatever was playing there. He wasn’t the most popular kid in school and only had a few very good friends, but he was a star on the soccer ball field and there was nearly no one who didn’t like him. Everyone had always told him that when they were feeling down and out, somehow just talking to him always made them feel better.

When he graduated from high school he went on to work with his adopted parents tending their business with them until several years later when they finally convinced him that he knew what he wanted to do and it was just time that he did it. But little did they know, Ezra’s plan of pursuing acting didn’t mean getting involved in the local theatre, he wanted to try for the big screen and then meant heading to the coast more than half a country away. He had an idea for a script that he was sure that would make it big. It was the story of an old coven’s plight during the witch-hunts. His adopted parents who had raised him on the Torah had no idea where he’d come up with such ideas, but they encouraged him nonetheless and despite their heavy reluctance of letting him go alone to Los Angeles.

With a newly purchased car and a couple of suitcases, he set off towards Hollywood. The only problem was that once he had settled there, he had never been outside of Kansas and he hadn’t spent any considerable time in a city since having come to live in America. He didn’t know what to expect in California, but outside of some serious butterflies he was just excited for the opportunity.

After a couple of weeks of staying in a motel he managed to hook up with a night job at a local video rental store. Soon after that he made it into a small apartment and though he was still getting accustomed to the strangeness that was the city, he was getting farther along on his script and his constant feeling of having so many characters itching to get out was getting to be too much. With his headshots in tow he began answering every callboard position that he thought he could possibly fit and quickly began looking into modeling. Still he remains oblivious to the dangers, human and supernatural, that the city holds as well as to who he really is. While he has been well versed on his cultural history, he has little idea as to just how far back his personal history truly goes.
