The First may appear as any of the following characters:
Angel, Ava, Buffy, Darla, Drusilla, Fred, Giles, Jenny, Joyce, Riley, Spike, Tara, Wesley as well as any other vampire, deceased Slayers-in-Training or passed family member of any character (with approval from that character's player).

---
The First in Play:
Here the First is played like any other PC character and is under the control of a single player. As with any other character with a player the First can only be controlled by that player. If a visit from the First or further interaction is desired please either contact Prue (the First's player) or the GM, Amanda.

Likewise if you do not wish for your character to be visited by a dead companion or do not want to have your character's likeness to be used by the First (see above list for applicable characters), then please let the GM know as otherwise all are considered fair game.

---
Caleb in Play:
Caleb likewise is under the control of a single player, Aly. As in the series, the First and Caleb work in tandem contolling the Bringers, wreaking havoc among the Council populace and slaughtering Slayers-in-Training.

---
The Bringers in Play:
The Bringers as a whole are under the control of the players of the First and Caleb. The Bringers are in most cases used as NPCs by all those involved in a given thread for the purpose of posting the actual fights. However, the sending of the Bringers to a battle or after an individual as well as how many are sent is controlled by the First and/or Caleb's players. Again, should such an attack be desired, requests are always accepted as long as they are within the scope of the First's motives.

General Game History of the First:
Given that this is an Alternate Season 6 game, none of the canon events featuring the First from Season 7 have occurred here. The Council has not been destroyed, but remains in a state of increasing instability due as much to upheaval within the ranks as to anything the First has yet wrought, though the Bringers have managed to cause notable losses among the the Watchers and their Potentials. The Council is at this time attempting to conceal this information from all but the most necessary parties in order to prevent a panic or a further question of traditional protocol.

The Bringers have made their presence well known in Sunnydale. The Bringers have launched direct attacks on Giles's flat (now destroyed) and Buffy's residence. They have nearly claimed Giles's life and have succeeded in taking the lives of several Potentials, even after their arrival to 'safety'.

The First appeared to Spike first because of his potential for being a particularly dangerous weapon to the others, his vulnerability with his new soul (forced upon him, not granted as a reward) and his being separated from the rest. The First has since grown bolder in its appearances.

Willow was its next main target and while it has yet to succeed in fully driving Spike over, Willow did for a time not only fall to the First, but was possessed by it. The First has since taken less to the mystery of hiding its presence and more to letting all know that they are not safe. It is not at this point singling out any particular individual, but has visted many of Sunnydale's residents - none of whom yet know that it is the First Evil appearing to them. The First has also began working out of Los Angeles in association with Wolfram & Hart.

Specific Game History of the First as it Pertains to Pike and Wolfram & Hart
(The majority of the below was written by Mario):

Out of need and sacrifice, Buffy's friend and first stab at love named Patrick Fordman aka Pike of the movie cannon, had come to Sunnydale as dreams beckoned him to go there. After much trials and tribulations, he had taken within him the power of the Slayer as a high demoness named Sendra had ripped out Buffy's soul and with it her power with the help of an amulet. Pike managed to steal the amulet and was granted a boon from the First Slayer to use the power for good as penance for using the power in the first place as he was not Chosen, and worse a male. She warned that there was a price for the boon and he accepted it.

For a while Pike served as the Slayer walking in Buffy's shoes but as Buffy was restored so did she want her life and with it her powers back. She went about doing so when the First Slayer intervened. Angered at Buffy's rejection of her power as well as the life filled with friends that she saw as an affront to the loneliness of the calling, the First Slayer took over Pike whole. He fought Buffy physically as well as in the dream plane.

The First told Buffy that the only way for a slayer to arise would be by the death of the predecessor. Pike was a 'Slayer' and with his death so did the powers pass to Buffy and order was restored...

Or was it? As Pike was being buried, the still living Prue from Wolfram and Hart, teleported onto the scene. She carried off the body and that was the last the Scooby gang heard of Pike.

However, by this point the First was keenly interested in the doings of the gang. Seeing failure at every turn with Caleb, the First decided to forgo the minions and get itself dirtied up. Summoning Wolfram and Hart's help in the form of Benson Lewis Tate, the two struck a bargain. Benson's term was that the First would not interfere with the Senior Partner's territory in turn Benson would see that a suitable body was procured for the purpose of the First being reborn within. The ritual though required ingredients that were downright difficult to come by:

Remains or dust of the fallen Master of the Aurelius line The blood of Angelus The charred flesh of the late Mayor of Sunnydale The nuclear powered core of the Mechanic demonic Adam The power or strength of the Hellgod Glorificus The magical might of the witch Willow Rosenberg corrupted to dark purposes The body of a fallen Slayer to be reborn within and more...a male Slayer

The First had been procuring this ritual for time. It had orchestrated Pike's return to Sunnydale. It had started to seduce Willow to the dark side, tempting her with ever-greater power and finally succeeding in giving her the final push into darkness from which her friends were only barely able to pull her back from.

It had in addition started to subdue Glory as it attempted to merge with her once collecting her power. Then with the assistance of Wolfram & Hart, it had Benson using the Firm's resources to retrieve Adam's power core through time and space from where Buffy, with her friend's help, banished it.

For his part, Benson had procured the First as an ally, which quickly led him to ascend to co-lead of Special Projects beside Lilah Morgan.

---
All would seem well, except as he and the whole of Wolfram & Hart would soon discover, the First has little interest in obeying any boundary lines set, even those that had marked this deal. While the First peruses other matters in Los Angeles, it knows that the pieces are close enough to in place for if it should decide to take on the powerful physical form awaiting it.

For the time being it continues to play with its pieces in both Sunnydale and Los Angeles and with the assistance of Lilah, has succeeded in the resurrection of Caleb.
