Name - Mimi La Roux Appearance - Personality - Ability - History - It was when the Moulin Rouge opened in 1889 that Mimi put her little side-show to practise and began work at the infamous Burlesque club. She was never intimidated by the attention she received, instead embracing the limelight and giving the boys something to cheer about. Over time she became bolder, sexier, and soon that girl was teasing and arousing the male clientele as part of a group act. However, Mimi desired further fame and more applause, setting her sights on solo top billing.
It was in her quest for stardom that Mimi attracted the attention of Colum, a warlock who wished to keep Mimi for himself. He posed as a wealthy investor, financing a show for Mimi only. During the development, he made many advances towards the girl, angered by her flirty yet disconnection from him. Colum soon gathered that Mimi had no desire to be with him and on opening night cast a powerful spell over the club. From that night onwards, Mimi was trapped in an eternal loop, out of time and space, performing her show only for Colum for over a century.
However, his power would not hold forever. Having already lived many lifetimes, Colum's own immortality was the first to slip and soon he began to wither and die. When the warlock finally perished in 1998, the eternal loop was broken and Mimi was placed back into the current time, in the middle of present-day Paris. Scared and alone, Mimi knew she was no longer meant to exist and attempted to take her life many times, failing each attempt. Her immortality has remained intact, as a symbol of Colum's ever-lasting adoration of her.
Not to be deterred, Mimi soon accepted her fate and longed to explore a world outside of Paris, no longer feeling the same energetic spirit of her time. Instead, she sought a new town to call home, a place with few inhibitions and where men were still slaves to a flash of flesh. This brought her to L.A, where she learnt English and worked hard to open her own burlesque club, Lasting Kiss. However, while doing so, Mimi also embraced the darker side of L.A, and is now a fine connoisseur of underground information. She has just opened a back-room Lounge for the those who are "just some rouge away from human."
