Name - Nophru-Ka, The Exiled King, The Shunned Pharao Age - 6340 Apparent Age - well-preserved mummy, so he still looks very very dead. Race - Undead human ( mummy) Appearance - Ability - History - The undead king was born more than 6000 years ago in Egypt, the only son of the current pharao. He was a gifted child, a quick learner and all his father could ever wish for. Soon after Nophru-Ka came of age, his father caught a terrible illness that struck him down and forced everyone to watch helplessly as he lost the strength he once had, decaying but still alive. Nophru-Ka was shocked as he witnessed his father's slow descend into death. Maybe this was what caused Nophru-Ka to wander the dark paths of sorcery. His mentors, skilled magicians themselves, noticed quickly that their student and new ruler had become obsessed with death and ways to circumvent it. Nophru-Ka barely paid attention to the duties of a king - his many advisors did the job for him. The only thing he cared about was to study the arts of necromancy. Finally, through a network of spies and mages, he had found what he'd been looking for...the Rite of Lichdom. Unfortunately, it was stored somewhere in Babylon. Nophru-Ka soon assembled the greatest army that had ever been seen in Egypt to this day. More than 300000 men were "encouraged" to join his crusade. Unfortunately, the pharao was not exactly a genius when it came to strategy. The first counterattack by the babylonians was devastating. Thousands of his men were dead or wounded. But Nophru-Ka was not going to give up. With terrible effort, he raised his fallen troops again, creating an army that never slept, never rested and never ceased to fight. Within three days he had crushed any defenses and was on his way back home, the Rite in his hands. He would be immortal....an eternal king, a true god on earth...he would never die...never die... Unfortunately, his days were already numbered. The pharao managed to perform the ritual, thereby sacrificing hundreds of prisoners to fuel his newly undead shell. He now inhabited a body that looked alive but was actually dead. All would have been ok for him...if one of his chief priests hadn't tried to assasinate him shortly thereafter, not wanting to allow an undead monster to reside on Egypt's throne. Unfortunately, Nophru-Ka survived the attack and in his wrath slew every single inhabitant of his palace using unholy necromantic magic. That did it. The people did not want to accept this new act of atrocity communited by "the mad lord", as the called him. Hundreds stormed his palace and finally subdued him. The pharao was magically paralised, then mummified to prevent him from ever rising again. He was then sealed away in a hidden tomb somewhere in the desert, unable to escape the magical bonds that held him. And finally, his mind succumbed and he went asleep....up to this day. A group of archeologists have dug up his tomb and sent the remains to LA. During the transport, the seals on his body have been broken and he now slowly starts to awaken...a mummy displayed at a museum in LA... ~Chracter concept and bio by Eridan~ <--Back________________Continue on to Nophru-Ka and Zara-Tana's Backstory--> |
